ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITTMENT

I felt compelled to compose this commentary for my web page because it seems so many people just don't GET IT!! -------After explaining my treatment plan, my goals for the treatment, their participation and the projected final outcome, I am asked numerous questions relating to traditional medical treatments.-----Now it seems to me if a prospective patient is coming to me asking about the efficacy of of Alternative Treatment for a specific illness, they would have already done their homework and investigated Traditional Treatments on their own behalf.

THE ODDS

Alternative versus Traditional. Two opposing methods of medical treatments. I don't deal in odds, I deal in facts. We are all familiar with “the odds.” We are confronted with these life changing choices every day of our lives. Any rational human being will try to narrow those odds in their favor. What do you think your odds are of winning BIG at Reno, Las Vegas or Atlantic City? They are stacked against you. The HOUSE wins. That's how these multi-million dollar gambling palaces get built. With the money their customers pour into their coffers each day. Would you stake your life on these odds? Well, in my opinion, that's what you do each time you opt for Traditional Medical Treatments. The billions of dollars generated by these treatments are used to construct the hospitals, research facilities and pharmaceutical skyscrapers we see sprouting up in every city and town in America with little evidence that death from any of these treatments has been drastically reduced. That is NOT what I call reducing the odds in my favor.

MY THEORY OF TREATMENT

It is my belief all illnesses must be treated through the Body, Mind and Spirit. Treating the body alone does not, most of the time, accomplish the desired results. Treating all three simultaneously is my commitment to my patient and I insist on keeping Jesus Christ in the center of it all.

Let's discuss one type of illness that strikes fear into most of us-------CANCER.

Something doesn't feel right or you experience a bit of pain. Your doctor examines you using all the tools at his disposal, and the diagnosis is breast cancer. He wants to treat you with one or all of the treatments available ( Chemotherapy, Radiation, Surgery) depending on the seriousness of the condition.-----STOP!!! The time bomb is already ticking. He wants to treat you with procedures you know will eventually kill you and your mind is already thinking CANCER equals DEATH. No alternative choices are presented to you. Of course it would have been better had you made healthier choices at a younger age, but you didn't. The damage has been done. The seeds of destruction have been sown. You are planning die. You think negatively. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY. ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN YOU WILL DIE. THAT IS IN HIS HANDS.

Now let's look at my approach. Certainly I will examine you and give you a diagnosis and a suggested treatment plan. There the similarity ends.

The attitude with which you approach your illness and the treatment I prescribe will play a major role in your healing. This is the Holy Spirit at work. You must accept, commit and believe and always remain positive. There examples too numerous to recount here about the power of God and the wonders He has performed on behalf of His children.

Next, powered by the Holy Spirit, your Mind must be clear; the conscious and the sub-conscious. No negative thoughts or death preparations should remain. As I said above only God knows when you will die. The power of the patient's mind should be channeled toward healing the body.

The Body. Once the Spirit and the Mind are focused firmly on the task at hand, we start to treat the body using the recommended treatment plan. At this juncture I definitely point out that, as in all medical treatments whether they be Traditional or Alternative, all instructions and procedures must be diligently followed in order to achieve the desired results. Half way measures and partial home self treatment usually produces less that satisfactory results.

The final thought to keep in mind is: Through the power of Jesus Christ, treat the whole person, Body, Mind and Spirit and keep the ODDS in your favor.
