June 2010 Testimonial from Darrell E. Smith
A diagnosis of prostate cancer was given to me in January of 2008. This diagnosis was based on 6 core biopsies of my prostate and the Gleason score was 3 + 4 or 7. Not an aggressive cancer but cancer none the less. Initially I was placed on an ‘active surveillance’ program or what most would call watch and wait. At that time my PSA score was about 6. It was suggested that I get my PSA tested every 3 months and so I did. For a year or so it was a tug of war, up one time and down the next. I was trying all sorts of supplements to aid my prostate, but nothing was effective. Then it began to creep upward and my wife, Brina, and I began to investigate possible home remedies. Our first approach was Sodium Bicarbonate administered orally. I was able to get my pH up to over 8 but the discomfort to my GI tract was just too much. After two weeks of an ever increasing load of Sodium Bicarbonate I was ready to call this approach quits. Got my PSA results and still no change. So then Brina and I tried Sodium Bicarbonate taken intravenously. But alas still no change in the PSA score. We also tried Vitamin C given as an IV. No improvement.
We took a break for a couple of months and then got introduced to Ozone. Ozone was given to me as an IV. I was taking 60cc of ozone in a syringe, mixed at about 97% oxygen and 3% ozone. We got serious about this protocol and went so far as to purchase an ozone generator and an oxygen tank along with a syringe pump to relieve Brina of the job of infusing the ozone into me. After 70 consecutive daily sessions I had my PSA tested again and now my score jumped from the single digits to 14 in just one three month period. I became concerned and wanted a solution that would get rid of this insidious cancer in my body.
Brina is an acupuncturist and a RN, and through her work one of her patients discussed his cancer with her, he was afflicted with colon cancer that had metastasized into his lungs. He indicated he was going to try treatment at a clinic in Quito, Ecuador. He previously had been treated by an oncologist in southern California but had no success and the oncologist had gone so far as to suggest he enter a hospice. Code words for you are going to die soon. Well this man went to Dr. Wickman’s clinic in Quito and after six weeks came home free of cancer. He revealed to Brina the complete story of Dr. Wickman’s work and she came home and with great excitement told me all about his trip and the fantastic results. Needless to say I was in communication with this man and got all the details. In a matter of a few days Brina and I had made the decision to put myself in the hands of Dr. Wickman. I got my company to agree to give me a leave of absence and I planned for a 5 week stay at the clinic. I would stay 6 weeks if that was necessary but I did not want to convey that information to my work since my job was just outsourced and things were more than just a little shaky.
So plans were made and Brina and I flew to Quito on April 25, 2010, a Sunday. On Monday April 26 treatment began. Brina only stayed for the first week and then flew back home. I was on my own for the remainder of the treatment. The early reports showed not only that I had prostate cancer, but also liver cancer, a candida tumor and streptococcus. So we had a lot to work on. And work I did. I committed to pushing my body alkaline by using all the supplements suggested but also eat mostly raw vegetables, fruits and little carbohydrates. Over a couple of weeks this worked, my acidosis finally disappeared, and my cancer numbers began to come down but so did my weight. I normally weigh about 155 to 160. When I weighed in at time a little later I was down to 140. Numbers I have not seen since high school. It left me with little stamina and sense of weakness. But I continued on with the program, I added a potatoes and whole grain bread to stop the weight loss. Each week as my report was given to me the numbers dropped about 25%. So I was hoping that maybe in 4 weeks I would be clean. But week 4 through me a monkey wrench, my numbers only came down about 10%. So I re-doubled my efforts and made sure by supplements were taken as directed and my food choices were as good as possible. By God’s grace on my last day my report showed I was cancer free. My candida was gone, my streptococcus was gone and my Immune Response was very close to 200, the desired goal. Yahoooo, I can go home a new man!
To think you can get cancer free without surgery, radiation or chemotherapy, what a great man Dr. Wickman is ! My soul was filled with joy that day !
This whole program was quite an adventure. I heartily endorse what Dr. Wickman does and how he interacts with the patients. You are treated as an adult, you are given instructions and you are expected to follow them. No one nags or interrogates you, You are responsible for your own outcome. You follow the recommendations and you get the results. It was a challenge to be away from family but you come to create a new family with other patients while you are there. Cesar and Monica, the proprietors at the hostal are more than kind, they are generous with support and stepping in to take care of issues when needed. Everyone involved, from our nurses and support team, Audrey, Narda, Ann and Sonia to the drivers Manuel and Gerardo, could not have been more gracious. They all were just terrific in how they dealt with each of us and our issues.
God bless all of you ! You all are deserving of many rounds of applause and accolades !
