Generally speaking, preventive medicine is the part of medicine engaged in preventing disease rather than curing it. It can be contrasted not only with curative medicine, but also with public health methods (which work at the level of population health rather than individual health).
Professionals involved in the public health aspect of this practice may be involved in entomology, pest control, and public health inspections. Public health inspections can include recreational waters, pools, beaches, food preparation and serving, and industrial hygiene inspections and surveys.
In common use, "preventative" is often used in place of the preferred "preventive". Preventive medicine is a medical specialty, one of the 24 recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). It encompasses three areas of specialization:Having said this, one may ask, "Really, where do I find such practices?" The American way is primarily to maintain a disease process such as cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, lupus, and all the rest of them. Many physicians will tell you there is no cure and proceed to lead you over into the traditional side of medicine where the chemicals (drugs) are. If by chance a patient happens onto a program of natural healing and gets rid of the problem, the whole process is explained away as some sort of spontaneous healing reaction.

Every business including medicine has its form of making money or improving the bottom line. Medicine is no different. To prevent a disease is to lose money. Take for instance the polio foundation. There are no patients strolling around with their crutches or lying on beds with iron lungs to facilitate their breathing. This was eliminated through prevention in a vaccine. Smallpox was eliminated by vaccination. Will there ever be a cancer vaccine to prevent this disease? I doubt this very much as cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry. Who wants to shoot themself in the foot (wallet)?
We have been exposed to great leaders such as Dr. Krebbs, or Dr. Hans Napier, or Dr. Royal Rife. These men and many others knew what was involved in CURING these degenerative diseases through prevention as well as after the fact. They outlined programs to eliminate the problems rather than maintain them. But money won out and these men all went by the wayside without receiving the honors they well deserved.
A simple blood smear on a piece of white paper can be the first step to prevention. All the electromagnetic wave frequencies for any disease as well as any other normal processes are registered in this smear. You will be able to see a pathology coming down the track long before the symptoms arrive and thus avoid the painful process of being treated for the malady itself.
You know the old saying, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!" Check yourself regularly and prevent the progress of diseases.
